The mistake some make is grabbing that serpent by its tail. Knowing it still can coil around and bite. So need to get right up close and personal to face it by its spitting venom of fangs.
Not always their staff that aides their walk, a little stimulation to sip on that drives their enthusiasm. Perhaps buy them a drink and soon see how they will get up and go.
Some are just unappreciated for the things they are given. Anyone will think have just handed them a long list of things to do. When all it is is a gift.
The idea of the tortoise and the hare, is when someone hurries ahead they are always looking back to see if anyone catches them up. Meanwhile, those who do take their time can use that distraction to work around them.
A serpent without its fangs is a mockery to laugh at. However big to be, a python or otherwise. It's those small to the point matters that make it powerful. Almost as reassuring as being safe in the woods knowing that other creatures of the night are without their fangs.
In the forest; completely infatuated by with the dead opposite dwellings. No missing eachother, be it upon opening each owns front door, pulling open the curtains to open the windows. Will see eye to eye like hearing the birds singing in the trees. The only obstacle is the road parallel with each house. Not wanting to be swept away with the passing commotion. So timing is the key to meet eachother across the street.
